In 1983 Innkeepers David Campiche and Laurie Anderson began the transformation of the restaurant dining room with the expansion and enclosure of the old front porch which surrounded the building. This section became the lounge, foyer and pub.
Featuring the beautiful grand piano named “Gloria”, the lounge and pub are fronted with stunning antique Art Nouveau stained glass windows that date from the late 1800′s. The stained glass windows were rescued by Innkeepers David Campiche and Laurie Anderson from a church in Morcambe, England that was due to be razed. They now grace the most historic Inn and Restaurant in Washington.
The lounge is a peaceful place to sit back in the comfortable over-stuffed leather armchairs and couches, sip your coffee or wine while enjoying a quiet moment, or listening to the piano, “Gloria”, or reading a good book or perhaps chatting with friends.
