Stained Glass Lounge

In 1983 Innkeepers David Campiche and Laurie Anderson began the transformation of the restaurant dining room with the expansion and enclosure of the old front porch which surrounded the building. This section became the lounge, foyer and pub.

The lounge and pub are fronted with stunning antique Art Nouveau stained glass windows that date from the late 1800's. The stained glass windows were rescued by Innkeepers David Campiche and Laurie Anderson from a church in Morcambe England that was due to be razed. They now grace the most historic Inn and Restaurant in Washington.

The lounge is a peaceful place to sit back in the comfortable over stuffed leather armchairs and couches, sip your coffee or wine while enjoying a quiet momment, reading a good book or perhaps chatting with friends.

There is no place like the Shelburne Inn for making new friends or creating lasting memories with old ones.

The Stained Glass Lounge is a great gathering place for small groups who wish to mingle, drink superb wines or simply eat an elegant meal. This section also boasts the elegant Inglenook featuring an old english style "bar" backed with mirror panels, Douglas fir woodwork of fine craftsmanship, and art glass mounted lamps. The Ingelnook seats up to 14, and remains a cozy getaway for family, groups of friends, or small meetings.
