John and Kathi Kennedy first learned of The Shelburne Inn on a return flight to the Pacific Northwest in an article they read by James Beard. That was in 1983, when they were making their wedding plans for a March wedding. They decided to be married in the quaint Oysterville Church, located in Oysterville, the northernmost community on the Long Beach Peninsula. They invited friends and family to join them as witnesses to their love and commitment to one another at their wedding and later at the reception at The Shoalwater Restaurant at The Shelburne Inn.

 
Twenty years have since passed. John and Kathi now live in San Diego. They have two children, a girl and a boy. John is an Environmental Engineer and Kathi works in the commercial interior design field. They decided to gather friends and family again for a celebration of their 20th wedding anniversary in the Pacific Northwest at The Shelburne Inn. David, Laurie, Tony and Ann delighted in providing the Kennedys and their friends and family with the location and homey environment so conducive to their gathering, and would like to share the story through these pictures.
